LOS ARTISTAS!

EL DIENTE (de Buenos Aires)

From Grating Space: Diente’s art is tortured portraiture from the bold brush slops of a hard-drinking boludo who wears the same 7 Seconds shirt every day.

PIRAÑA: (de Buenos Aires)

From Grating Space: Diente and Piraña approach a similar style: a mix of comic and macabre surrealism indebted to punk rock flyer and album art. Piraña’s crisply outlined creatures reflect the way he looks and lives (clean-dressed, clean-shaven, vegan, drug-free).

AUGUSTIN CROXATTO (de Buenos Aires)

ROLLIN HUNT (de Chicago)

..

From the Chicago Reader: The first time I saw local songwriter Rollin Hunt, he was wowing a crowd of a dozen or so at Ronny’s, trembling before the mike with his eyelids squeezed shut. “Wow. He’s really special,” I whispered to my friend. “Yes,” she said. “Very.” Hunt was in the middle of a song about going out for a walk and spying on a couple getting hot and heavy in their bedroom. Oh, and antelopes.

PUTRID (de Chicago)

From Grind On E-zine”: Putrid has helped to make horror grind what it is today.
