Once, long ago when I was a smoker, I went to visit my boyfriend’s house, who had just thrown away all of his oil paint solvent soaked rags into his dumpster.
Before ringing the doorbell, I disposed of the buttend of my cigarette and tossed it in the dumpster (being careful about littering). By the time he answered the door the dumpster was ablaze. “The heat from the sun must have ignited them.” He surmised. I nodded my head in agreement.
I don’t think it was randomness. One of the neighborhood kids who was hanging out watching the fire said most likely someone has beef with the people who live in the house with the dumpster so they set it on fire … twice.

Randomness. I love randomness. Then I went on to live life as it was intended.
